As part of our growth, we are looking for a driven and savvy accounts officer to support the accounts department and join a team of experienced and dedicated professionals. Reporting directly to the managing partner, the Officer will be trusted with a portfolio of clients to manage and build a lasting relationship with. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to job shadow the senior team members with ample opportunity to grow and specialise in this industry.
Duties include:

Assist in compiling and preparing the company’s invoices for sending/suppliers’ invoices for posting into the accounting package;

Liaising with clients on the debtors and creditors outstanding ;

Reconciliation of suppliers’ and debtor statements on a regular basis;

Ensuring proper documentation is always kept, and digital filing procedures relating to debtors’/creditors’ invoices/debit/credit notes etc. are followed;

Monthly reconciling of bank accounts, including a full monthly reconciliation with details of all reconciling items;

Assisting in the posting of all general ledger-related transactions and other related duties in the accounts department up to the trial balance stage, including the monthly reconciliation of stock movements, and tracking and resolving of accounting problems that may arise.

Perform other related duties as may be required from time to time;

Ensuring that our system / database is always kept up to date with accurate and correct information

Honouring service level agreements by executing the required services in the shortest time frame possible whilst delivering a service that is of the highest quality, meeting clients’ expectations;

Maintain an open dialogue of communication with clients on a regular basis and keeping clients informed on any new relevant developments within their industry;
Requirements

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar environment will be given priority.

An advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel,

Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Quickbooks, Bananna Accounting + and Odoo, will be given preference.

Fluency in English both written and spoken

Applicants having an MQF Level 4 standard of education or above would be given priority.
